Day 70: Papier-Mache Pug

Thursday’s project, which was completed today, was to create something with papier-mache.

This was my first time working with papier-mache in over 30 years; it was much messier than I recall.  Eloise watched the creation of this pug with interest and would bark at it from time to time.  The hedgehog, which is one of her favorite toys, is in the picture for scale, since it’s still too wet for a shot with Eloise.

Update from day 72: Unfortunately, user error led to a very deflated papier-mache pug.  Nevertheless, here’s a shot of it with Eloise.  The hedgehog is there again for scale.  As you can see, the pug’s body is quite a bit smaller than it had been. . .

About puglife

Eloise the pug, starred in my 2012 project "365 Days of Pugs". Halley the pug, a recent addition, will no likely be featured her when she can stay still long enough to have her picture taken.
