Today’s project was to write an advertising jingle for something in nature (a tree, a bird, a cloud). The bonus was to make a commercial to go with it.
Today was a chilly, drizzly day. In this rain-inspired jingle, Eloise embraces the inclement weather. It’s set to the tune of the Dr. Pepper song.I love to go walking in the rain Even through the puddles in the drain Look around on most rainy days And you will see a wet dog craze I’m a wet pug, he’s a wet pug She’s a wet pug, we’re all wet pugs Wouldn’t you like to be a wet pug, too?
As I contemplated this project and sought inspiration from a sleepless friend in Vienna while we played Words with Friends, she sent me her own jingle. Here’s what Francesca wrote:When the garden shopping is too much to lug, Just listen to the pug “Wheels!”, says Eloise, “Schlepping home is just a breeze!”
It was impossible to go for the bonus, since Eloise does not tolerate wet weather. This is what she did today instead of walking in the rain.
